Description: 1938 from Hobart, Tasmania to Adelaide, South Australia with "Unclaimed, Not Known by Letter Carrier Adelaide", and "Dead Letter Office Adelaide" markings on front. Black and white imperforate dead letter seal affixed to backflap.

This is one example of many Dead Letter Office seals used in some of the larger cities including Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. All are similarly worded but have different issue dates & control numbers.
