Cuba has issued about nine official seals, the first eight consisting of the same general design. Most are fairly difficult to find on cover.

Description: Damaged 1917 cover from Louisville, KY to Havana, Cuba repaired at upper right with official seal, tied front and back with violet straightline "Apartados- Recibido en mal estado" ("Received in bad state") handstamps. Dark shading under "SEL" of "SELLADO", white rays under "SERVICIO DE CORREOS" are three lines wide.
