The Faroe Islands, located in the North Atlantic north of Scotland, are a self-governing part of the Danish kingdom. Only one design from the Faroes is currently recorded.

Inscription: "FAER÷ AMT" (AMT = "Regional Authority") with crown above

Control Number: None

Description: Domestic 1941 stampless official mail originally sent from Klaksvig to the Foreign Exchange Authority at Thorshavn, and reclosed at top with three Faroe Islands seals. Envelope was readdressed to a commercial bank and reposted with the addition of a violet 10 Ýre postage stamp at Thorshavn.
