Macau (or Macao) is located on the south east coast of China near Hong Kong. It became a Special Administrative Region of China on December 20, 1999 after having been an overseas province of Portugal since 1951. Three official seal designs are known. All are rather scarce.

Description: 1936 air mail cover from Lisbon, Portugal received torn ("rasgado") at Macau, China and resealed at upper corners with two official seals of Macau. Both seals tied by hexagonal Macau datestamps. Canton transit on reverse.
