Description: 1899 cover from Pretoria, Transvaal to Cape Town, Cape Colony censored at top with a Natal officially sealed label cancelled with black Durban datestamp of November 23. Durban seal tied to reverse by a December 14th Cape Town arrival cancel. Also has pink perf 11.5 Boer censor seal, S & H Type 3, affixed over left edge cancelled with a November 6th Pretoria postmark.

Description: Underpaid (by 1-1/2d) December 1899 cover from Durban, Natal to Lorenço Marques, Mozambique reclosed at top with an officially sealed label cancelled with a Durban datestamp. Blue boxed "Retourne a l'envoyer / Devolvida ao remettente" ("Returned to sender"), "Non reclamee / Nao reclamado" ("Not collected"), and "REBUT / REFUGO" ("Refused"), and partial black circular "(RETURNED) LETTER OFFICE NATAL NO 4 00" markings struck on front. Likely also a wartime censorship usage.
