Control Number: "Forma 54" at top left

Description: Badly damaged 1945 cover from Lima, Peru to South Jacksonville, FL with incomplete address and repaired on all sides with six imperforate black on deep red "Cierre Oficial" seals. Three of the seals are tied on front by blue Lima Sep 21 datestamp. Violet two-line "INGRESADO AL SERVICIO DE / BUZONES EN EL ESTADO QUE SE VE" (translation:"Entered to the service of mailboxes in the state that is seen") marking struck on reverse.
