Description: 1945 official cover from New Zealand to Mocha, Yemen with a New Zealand Dead Letter Office label applied. Violet Arabic script states that the addressee was not found and therefore the letter was returned to sender. Label tied on front by Te Aro, New Zealand August 23, 1946 datestamp. Wellington Returned Letter Office cancel dated April 30, 1946 on reverse.

Control Number: "Mail 76" in lower left corner

Description: 1938 cover from Dundee, Scotland to Auckland, New Zealand salvaged from wreck of the flying boat "Calpurnia", which was enroute from England to Singapore and crashed in Lake Ramadi, Iraq. Envelope was repaired with a black Post and Telegraph seal and a blue offical seal and of New Zealand.
